I have grown up in the beautiful East Anglia with my amazing parents, four brothers and sister. I have loved being part of a big family because it meant there was always someone to share my stories with, someone to start a creative project with and of course somebody to play with! I have completed a masters’ degree in Chemistry at the University of St Andrews, but soon after discovered a passion for working with young children – which is exactly what has brought me here, to BGC!

My amazing childhood has no doubt been a huge factor in why I have decided to teach English to young children. I especially enjoy educating through books and stories, since I believe this playful way of learning to be the best way of improving a student’s imagination, expanding their vocabulary and building their confidence. As a child, it was unimaginable for me to go to sleep without a bedtime story. Both my parents enjoy reading whenever they have a free moment – which is where I get my love of books too, I’m sure! Books have so much to offer, including the stunning illustrations, the breath-taking adventures and the fantastic descriptions. I am therefore very keen and excited to introduce my students to more and more stories and to give them (at least some of) my love for books.

My other big passion is creative crafts and art projects: I love to make things with my own two hands. For this reason, working at Camp Adventure in Germany, during one of my summer breaks has been an incredible experience! I had the chance to combine my interests: teach English to young children from all around the world and also embark on fun creative projects together with them. I am determined to bring both what I have learnt at home and at camp to the table now and am very excited to be working at BGC!
