Mykayla Young

My name is Mykayla Young. I’m an American primary and secondary school teacher. I was born and raised in Florida by my wonderful family who brought me up to be an independent, tenacious and compassionate individual. I spend a majority of my time outdoors and my favorite outdoor activity is swimming.

I started teaching in a classroom setting in 2018. I was appointed teacher aid and led small tutor groups, as well as private tutor for peers and young ages. During that time I was a sitter for children on the spectrum and utilized creative outlets such as art, outside play, and singing to facilitate learning. Since 2021, after graduating and beginning University in Maine, I’ve utilized my teaching expertise extensively in America—primarily as a private tutor for young children learning to read, write, and speak.

My love for teaching has gained me the opportunity to private tutor while Au Pairing in multiple states in America, Becoming TEFL certified, teaching English as a second language to younger children whom recently emigrated to America and establish a background as a K-12 Instructor in Upstate New York.

The joy children find in their successes are moments I appreciate and further motivates me to help my students recognize their innate ability to do their best always! I am extremely grateful to be apart of the diligent BGC community of skillful English lecturers!
