Information for Prospective First-Year Students
In the 2025/2026 school year, we are pleased to offer a Hungarian-English bilingual class at Fáy András Primary School. Through our Intensive English Bilingual Program, students will learn in traditional classes in the morning and then in an immersive English-speaking environment in the afternoon, where native English-speaking teachers lead engaging and colorful activities.
The BGC English School Program uses an innovative teaching methodology unique among bilingual primary schools. This approach integrates seamlessly into the existing school structure, as all program modules are delivered in the afternoon, leaving the morning schedule unchanged.
Our English lessons are interactive, playful, and age-appropriate. With a focus on activities, students progress in a positive, stress-free environment with frequent encouragement. By the end of the 4+4-year program, students typically reach a B1/B2 English proficiency level.

To ensure a smooth start and effective collaboration, we believe it’s important for parents, students, and staff to get to know one another before school begins. We share details about our program on our website and social media (Facebook, Instagram) and provide further information at parent meetings.
BGC Parent Information Sessions
The BGC English School Program and its activity-based language learning methodology will be presented at our Parents’ Forum, where program leaders and native-speaking teachers will answer questions. We will also discuss the local curriculum and the application process for Hungarian-English bilingual classes.

Applying for the BGC Hungarian-English Bilingual Class
Before applying to the Hungarian-English bilingual class, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the BGC English School Program’s methodology, implementation details, and fees. More information is available on our partner institution’s website (https://fot-fay.hu/wordpress/).
In general, we welcome applications from children who are ready for school, enjoy group activities, are receptive to learning, are easily motivated, and enjoy playing with their peers. While our language teaching methodology is innovative, inclusive, and child-centered, we find that children who require a small-group learning environment and specific instructional support may find the bilingual environment challenging.
No prior knowledge of English is required to apply.
To pre-register for the BGC Hungarian-English bilingual class starting in September 2025, please complete the Preliminary Registration Form. Pre-registration is non-binding and does not guarantee admission. Detailed information on the official enrollment and admission procedures will be available on the school’s website.
