Szakmai igazgató - BGC Angol Program

Hi, I am Bettina Botos, Director of Education at BGC Hungary.

People have always been at the center of my interests. As a corporate HR Leader, trainer, teacher, or even in the role of a doctoral researcher, I have always been driven by people. How can one motivate, support, mentor, guide, teach others and encourage children and adults for continuous growth to help them reach their full potential-these are the things that give me goosebumps. This is also what drives me in my role at BGC. My goal is to ensure that our professional, passionate, and diverse team of teachers and program managers are guided and supported in a meaningful way, so that our learners can ultimately thrive.

I have gained professional experience in Hungary and in the United States (Los Angeles, and Boston) in different HR leadership roles at international companies, as well as in the educational sector as a teacher, trainer, and leader.
I have an MA degree in Education and in Human Resources Management. I am very passionate about social emotional learning (SEL) and its immense potential to create a healthier society. My doctoral research is in Educational Science as well: I am investigating the benefits of socioemotional learning programs in teacher training through nonverbal, applied art therapeutic methods.

I am also a wife and the mother of 2 wonderful bilingual children, who are Hungarians by origins, but were raised in California. Their bilingual upbringing allows me to relate to the BGC language acquisition concept not only as a professional but also as a mother.

I wish the best for our beloved students on their enriching language acquisition process and to all our teachers, leaders, and colleagues during the important journey we are making at BGC.
