      Class Teacher

My name is Mikayla Aguie and I was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. Being raised in a bilingual household I have personally seen the importance of language acquisition in a natural environment. I hope that I will be able to help students acquire the English language and broaden their worldview in a fun and exciting way.

During my time at high school and university, I was involved in various tutoring and mentoring programs. In particular, I was involved in a program called America Reads America Counts that allowed me to tutor elementary school children in both Math and English. I also partook in summer camps in the past, where I led a variety of games and activities for children ages 3-10.

While I pursued a career in market research post-graduation I always looked fondly at the time when I was able to teach and interact with children. It is for this reason that I pursued my TEFL certificate and now have the pleasure of teaching in Budapest Hungary.

Outside of teaching, I also love to hike, read, and discover new coffee shops in the area. I’m always willing to take any coffee shop recommendations!

I am very much looking forward to meeting you all!
