I am an artist from a small town in Ohio, USA. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ohio University with a concentration in ceramics. Since graduating, I have taught ceramics in a number of settings including- one on one, small groups, and large parties. I’ve taught all different ages and love the challenge of helping reach goals. I also have taught English and math to children and women in India. Witnessing personal growth and students challenge themselves inspires me to also continue growing and learning.

My family plays a major role in who I am today and why I chose to work in Hungary. My grandparents were born in Hungary and I grew up appreciating and learning much about this culture. When I am not teaching, making art, or hiking with my dog, I am spending time with my family and watching my nieces grow up. Helping my 2 year old niece start to talk, inspired me to find a job in a school and led me to receiving my TEFL certificate. I have spent a lot of my life babysitting and running soccer (futball) summer camps so I am very experienced with children and know how to balance enjoyment with responsibility. I love the energy and perspective children have and look forward to having a positive involvement in their education and growth.

I strongly believe children should have a passion and appreciation for knowledge and hope that my creative background creates an engaging, fun, and lasting way to learn.

I am so grateful to be joining the BGC team and look forward to meeting you all!
